From passion to success story

The beginnings: gasoline in the blood

2012

Even at a young age, Thomas Moor and Gabriel Müller shared a deep enthusiasm for cars. After leaving school, they initially took different paths: Thomas trained as an optician at Fielmann, while Gabriel decided to train as a car salesman. Despite working in different sectors, their shared fascination for cars remains unbroken. With their training salaries, they occasionally buy and sell vehicles in the lowest price segment – not as a professional business, but out of passion and curiosity about the trade.

Experience and new horizons

2014-2019

After their training, they both moved to Switzerland, where they gained valuable experience with leading car importers. Thomas quickly developed into an outstanding salesman, perfecting his closing techniques and honing his knowledge of human nature. Gabriel concentrates on operational processes and vehicle purchasing, allowing both of them to complement each other perfectly and constantly deepen their knowledge of the automobile trade.

The first big step: founding Helveticar AG

2020

With the desire to set up his own company, Thomas founds Helveticar AG together with a business partner. Due to limited capital, they start with vehicles from the lowest price segment. Despite modest beginnings, the company grew rapidly. Gabriel takes on important operational tasks right from the start and makes a significant contribution to process optimization.

Rapid rise and first hurdles

2020-2022

Realignment: a bold new start

2022

Differing ideas and visions within the management ultimately lead to the founders parting ways. Thomas is faced with a crucial question: give up or start again? The answer is clear. He decides to set up his own company – and Gabriel remains at his side as an important companion.

A new beginning with challenges

2022-2023

With the founding of automoor AG, Thomas and Gabriel start again – again with limited capital and at a new location in Stäfa on Lake Zurich. The company is built up gradually, initially with a small vehicle fleet. Unforeseen challenges such as limited liquidity, high initial investments and the need to quickly establish functioning processes made the start particularly demanding. But with hard work, strategic decisions and a clear focus on quality, automoor manages to grow steadily.

Growth and establishment in the premium segment

2023-2025

The company grows continuously within three years. The team expands to 12 employees, a second location is opened in Grüningen and the stock increases to over 100 vehicles. automoor establishes itself as a leading provider in the upmarket used car segment. This success is based on a clear strategy, structured processes and a strong team that consistently drives the company’s vision forward.

Digitalization and vision for the future

2025

automoor relies on state-of-the-art technologies to position itself at the top. Digital processes, innovative sales strategies and targeted marketing are driving growth. The goal is clear: by 2027, automoor should not only be the leading digitalized car dealer in Switzerland, but also the best-known name in the used car trade.

Looking ahead: luxury, size, perfection

The future

The plans are ambitious: a new, large location with space for 300 vehicles is to be built in the near future. In addition, an exclusive department for luxury vehicles is being set up – a decisive step on the way to becoming the absolute top class in the premium used car trade. automoor stands for entrepreneurial vision, consistent implementation and a strong team. The success story is far from over – the most exciting chapters are yet to come.
